Paul is the founder and Chairman of Leighton, the worldwide technology and communications group that comprises five companies: Leighton, 4Projects, the Data Corp, Communicator Corp and Business Education Publishers. Paul built the Leighton Group from a small publishing business into the global technology software, new media group and communications group it is today, operating in over 45 countries on 6 continents and in 10 languages.
Paul discovered the key to ‘making money while he slept’ when he founded Domain Names.com in 1997 and helped it to grow to become one of Europe’s largest domain name registrars before selling it to VeriSign in 2000. He is passionate about helping the North East region to grow and prosper.
